How Burdn works
Honest, without the exposure.
Burdn is built so you can be truthful about what you’re going through, and other people can respond to you as a person — not as your coworker, your ex, or your feed.

Say what you're carrying
Write the thing you have not said out loud. There is no profile photo attached to it, no real name, and no account for anyone to click through to.

Choose the reply you need
Not every burden wants the same response. You tell people up front what would actually help, so the replies you get are the kind you came for.

Pick an anonymous persona
Your post goes out under a persona rather than your account. It is what other people see on your Burdns and on every reply you write.

Get real replies
Other people read and answer honestly, because nobody is performing for an audience that already knows them.
Privacy & safety
Anonymity with accountability.
Being anonymous to other users doesn’t mean the space is unmoderated. Here is how the two are balanced.
Anonymous, not lawless
Being unidentifiable to other users does not make this an unmoderated space. Anonymity is what makes honesty possible here; it is not cover for harming someone.
Replies from people, not an audience
Replies come from people, not from an audience that knows you. Some posts are examples the Burdn team wrote to show how the app works. They use the same persona masks members choose.
Privacy and emotional safety
Your real account identity — including any email or sign-in identifier — is never shown to other users. Sign-in is passwordless, so there is no password to leak or reuse.
Reporting and moderation
Reporting and blocking are built in. We keep the minimum internal records needed to prevent abuse and keep the community safe — never tied to your public persona.
Inside the app
You decide what kind of reply you want.
Most places let you say the hard thing and then leave you at the mercy of whatever comes back. Burdn asks first. Every Burdn carries the kind of response you were actually looking for, so people know how to show up for you.
